Scroll down
The Jaffa Clock Tower, built in 1900 from limestone, stands at the north end of Yefet Street in Jaffa, Tel Aviv. It was funded by Jaffa’s diverse communities to mark the 25th anniversary of Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II’s reign. One of seven Ottoman-era clock towers in Israel, it symbolizes Jaffa’s modernization and commemorates those who fell in the 1948 battle for the town
